SJHA Mini Magicians
A year of magical activities for our minature witches and wizards
Calling our extraordinarily magical siblings! We have a full year of magical fun planned at Mini Magicians. This program will run July-May. In July & August we meet ONCE. Every other month we meet twice. We will meet at The Center for Enrichment in Voorhees, NJ. Events take place on Wednesdays at 3:15 PM, with the occasional Saturday event (July and August). Times for the Saturday events are TBA.
The rules are the same as co-op and can be found here in our FAQs & handbook. Registration is open to silver & gold members.
Students must be a sibling of a student at the SJHA School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
This is for kids ages 4-7. Students aged 7-10 can participate in our Junior magicians found here. Students who are 11+ or turning 11 this school year can participate in the SJHA school of witchcraft and wizardry here.
Break down of magical activities
Summer
July 27th – Happee Birthday Kick-off
- Birthday cake & light refreshments
- Students will introduce themselves & play games
August 24th – Witchy Shopping Spree
- Each student will “shop” for items to they will use throughout the year.
Fall
September 14 – Hat Decorating
- Each student will have the opportunity to decorate their own magical hat.
September 25 – Broom Fitness Challenge
- A good sorcerer must be in top shape to perform magic. Our fitness challenge will help students learn the best way to stay healthy and strong!
October 9 – Painting with a Magical Twist
- Create a magical masterpiece to take home!
October 23 – Wands and Cauldron Making
- Every witch and wizard needs a wand and cauldron to call their own. We will be scuplting these using clay and other materials.
November 6 – Wands and Cauldron Painting
- Now that our wands and cauldrons are dry, we will complete them with by adding tulle and other materials.
November 13 – Labrynths & Mazes
- Students will have the opportunity to solve drawn mazes, play maze games, as well as walk through a full size labrynth!
Winter
December 20 – Field Trip
- For this field trip, we will be going to Peddler’s Village
January 15 – Broom Decorating Part I
- Every witch and wizard needs a broom to call their own. We will be decorating brooms using paint, tape, and stickers.
January 29 – Broom Decorating Part II
- For this session of broom decorating, we will be putting the final touches on our brooms to really bring the magic to life!
February 5 – Obstacle Courses
- Students will challenge themselves through a variety of physical obstacles to complete the course!
February 19 – Magical Illusions & Tricks
- Our magicians will have an opportunity to learn and practice their magic!
Spring
March 12 – Candle Making
- Our witches and wizards will be making mystical candles to take home and decorate or gift.
March 26 – Cloak Making
- What sorceror’s arsenal would be complete without their own cloak. Our sorcerers will spend the day making magical cloaks.
April 19 – Broom Races
- It’s time to take our new brooms for a test flight! Our witches and wizards will compete in individual and relay races.
April 30 – Spells and Potion
- Our magicians can sit back and enjoy some magical spells while sipping on wonderiously delicious tea.
May 14 – Seed Feeders
- Every good sorcerer needs to give back to the world around us, so we’ll be taking care of our feathered friends by making delicious seed feeders.
May 15 – End of the year party
- We will enjoy another feast
- Our witches and wizards will recieve goodie bags
Tuition & payment plans
Our mini magical school tuition is $300 per student for the entire year.
There is also a teacher discount of $10 per class that you are willing to teach in.
