South Jersey Homeschool Association is excited to announce our Spring 2022 Sports Lineup! Registration for these activities is now open. Be sure to have purchased a Teams Sports Access subscription before proceeding.

Recreational Sports

Recreational sports are casual, co-ed sports for children of all ages. These sports will have 1-2 practices per week, plus one game. Your specific schedule will be dependent on the availability of the coach for your child’s team. If you have specific time limitations, please let us know in the comments of your registration form and we will take it into consideration when assigning teams.

Step One: Fill out the form below and select the appropriate sport(s).

Step Two: Identify if you are interested in volunteering to help our league. Note that volunteers will receive 50% off the cost of the sport for all children they register for that sport. Be sure to indicate that you are interested in volunteer for *each* child’s registration, even if you’re only volunteering for ONE child’s team(s).

Travel Sports

SJHA would like to participate in travel sports against local township and private teams. This is dependent on availability of players and openings for other travel teams. Travel sports is not guaranteed. If you are only interested in travel sports, please reach out separately. These sports will have 2-3 practices per week (your coach will give you more exact numbers) plus games against other teams as defined by the league and your coach.

Step Three: On meet-up day, indicate if you would like to play for the travel team. A separate tryout will be held if there is sufficient interest.

Volunteer

We are looking for 3 types of volunteers for our sports teams.
Coaches
Our coaches are responsible for planning practices, teaching children the sport and teamwork, and communicating with parents. Two coaches are allowed/requested per team, with optional additional coaches for younger kids.

Commissioners
Our sports commissioners are responsible for planning games, communicating with and managing coaches, and helping find locations for games and events.

Location Information

We are working on securing locations for all the sports in each county. As they are available, we will be posting them under their appropriate county. These will be considered the ”Home Field” for each county and serve as the default location for practices and games. Please note that your coach may, at the consensus of players and approval of the commissioner, move practices to more convenient location. Games will be held on a ”home” field for any of the counties.

If there are insufficient players signed up in your county, you will have the option to merge with another county or receive refund on your purchase.
